Ipone

Energy and Passion with the Red Bull Rookies Cup

Once again this year, Ipone is focusing on performance with the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup partnership.

Beyond this meeting, it is the story of a merger between a brand of motorbike enthusiasts and a world-renowned championship: Ipone x Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. An exclusive alliance since 2012 sealed around passion, transmission and audacity.

A true MotoGP academy, this competition provides all the technical conditions to learn the ropes of the Grand Prix. On the rider's side, getting noticed during this championship can open the doors of the Grand Prix. A unique opportunity for young talents from all over the world to realise their dream of entering the motorbike Grand Prix. Former Rookies are involved in all categories of MotoGP, from Joan Mir, Moto3 World Champion, Johann Zarco in MotoGP to Miguel Olivera, winner of the 2020 Styrian GP. In total there are 3 former riders of this competition who are among the riders of the 2020 MotoGP season. To date, 20 riders from the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup have joined the Grand Prix squad in the past: moto3, moto2 and motoGP. These victories have led the riders to the consecration of the motorbike sport.

In the Red Bull Rookies Cup championship, 26 riders from all over the world are competing for the title. Given the context, the 12 rounds will take place this year in Spielberg, Aragon and Valencia with a first victory for Agosta in August.

On the Ipone side, this championship is an opportunity to test and improve its products. We provide technicians to listen to and collect the remarks of the drivers and mechanics. Faced with the reality of racing, where performance and rigour are required, racing lubricants and other maintenance products are put to the test. On a race weekend, the KTM RC 250s of the Red Bull Rookies Cup must be maintained with care. Indeed, what better than competition to develop technical products made by insatiable motorcyclists for demanding bikers?

For 35 years we have proudly accompanied motorcyclists of all categories on asphalt, dirt and pebble tracks. Our lubricants are not visible but they are present in every victory of the Reb Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. This is our way of participating in the training of the future great names of the discipline, riders and bikes combined.

Behind the scenes, it is the Stroke 4 that runs in the veins of the 24 KTM RC 250 R, replicas of the moto3. Indeed, the development of the racing lubricant STROKE 4 was done in close collaboration with the competition's technical team. This high performance lubricant has a package of exclusive additives with unique properties to meet the demands of the KTM RC 250R. Ipone has designed this oil specifically for racing motorbikes. Based on ester, this oil allows a gain in engine torque, internal friction and performance while reducing friction, resisting high temperatures and reducing oil consumption. The result? A more powerful engine, ideal for use on the track for those who prefer a sporty ride.

As you will have understood, there is no room for chance here. As motorcyclists, we owe it to ourselves to produce engine, gearbox, shock absorber and fork oils that meet the demands of competitive riding, with maximum protection for essential motorbike parts such as the clutch, engine, brakes and gearbox.

We pay the same attention to the maintenance of the motorbike as we do to the rider, which is why we have developed an essential range of performance-oriented engine and maintenance oils in close collaboration with the Red Bull Rookies Cup.

The most promising young riders compete to prove that they are ready to take their skills to the next level in MotoGP. And you, are you ready to take your racing range to the next level of excellence?
